Sidney St. F. (“Pete”) Thaxter is the chair of the firm’s Litigation and Administrative Law and Estate Planning and Probate Practice Areas. For over 30 years, he has led the firm’s litigation practice, which has focused on business disputes and property rights.
Pete also works with multiple generations of the firm’s clients and their families to help them through their estate tax and business succession planning.
Representative Matters
Pete has served on the Portland School Committee, Portland Charter Commission, the Maine Community Foundation as a former board member, the Greater Portland Chambers of Commerce as Chair, and the Portland Historical Preservation Committee, as Chairman & Vice Chair. Pete currently serves on the board of the Institute for Civic Leadership.
