Curtis Thaxter attorneys provide counsel to businesses and individuals on all aspects of state and federal laws affecting the workplace. Our firm counsels businesses on issues relating to the hiring and termination of employees, state and federal leave policies, wage and hour issues, harassment policies and development of employment manuals and other personnel policies. We also represent businesses and individuals in employment discrimination claims before the Maine Human Rights Commission and state and federal courts.
Our attorneys have served on panels in the area of employment law, and we frequently host seminars for our clients on recent developments in state and federal employment law. We are members of the Labor and Employment sections of the American Bar Association and the Maine State Bar Association.
